Anyone visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium Califrornia???

Well has anyone been and visited ? i've just watched a documentary on the National geographic channel about it and it looks really good !! they just released a great white shark back into the ocean because it attacked one shark then ate another one !!

Well just thought i'd share this with you all.

I go every other year, its a great place to visit right on the California coast line. Their otter exhibit is also gr8. Makes for a gr8 road trip, especially if you drive down even further south to the Long Beach Aquarium. If you get the chance to go, take it!

I know a few keeprs at Long Beach. I used to know some at MBA as well, but lost touch.

MBA is amazing. But they are well funded, and that makes a HUGE difference in the zoo world.

I live fairly close to MBA... it's a great place to visit every so often. Love their FW stingray/Amazon display the most. But personally, I'd rather go to Steinheirt Aquarium in San Francisco... (much more freshwater stuff!), but MBA is still a great place to visit though.

I haven't been in there in 4 years. It's about 3 to 3 1/2 hours from where I live, so it's a full day trip for me. Looking forward to taking my daughter when she gets big enough. I haven't been to Steinheirt since I was 10. I need to make a couple aquarium trips this summer.

I used to live in Monterey when i went to school there. Great aquarium! I saw the great white and it looked all beat up when they got it. it ran into everything. They've got a really nice reef tank upstairs too!

I used to live right by it. It's an awsome place. I spent hours in there. Then I moved back to SoCal. Great weather, great food, great beach, and great aquarium. But it's good to be back home. Here's a few pics...I can't find my other card which has better pics on them :
