Anyone want 10 arowana???

Hmmm..not bad deal per se. If you know your LFS owner really well, I'm sure you can strike a deal with them also for that price, plus you don't have to worry about shipping. With the lfs, you can at least see the fish and pick the 10 you want, assuming you plan to get that many.

I just picked up a 6"silver for $20, and the lfs had quite a few silvers, baby ones, 4"-10" ones, and baby jars that he's selling for 45. I was kidding with the owner, that I'd take 3 baby jars, 3 silvers and how much..he sez $100! I would've, but space is limited. If possible, I would try to have a comm of jars, but I'm going to need a huge pond...and being in the east coast that isn't feasible. Possibly 4-6 in a 600g tank maybe in the future.

I will say this guys. It is a comparitively cheap deal. How many does he/she got I wonder? If I did buy some, I would do just that. Grow them out with a soft substrate in my 240 gallon until they are around 8" or so and find homes for them. I mean seriously I have a 240 ready to roll...I would transfer the fish currently in there out since they are just in there to get the tank cycled anyway. Would you think it be too much risk for the fish or for me? Thanks for all the comments and I appreciate your opinions....

Check the Vendors forum...the MFK group import deal...I was quoted 50 aros for 180.00 shipped to Sea_Tac airport.

Yeah on second...and 3rd thought...I am not going to go that route. I still think that it s horribble to think someone offers them out in large numbers...blindly to people anywhere that have an extra 100 bucks in their pockets.

So I wrote the auctioner as well and asked about tank size. I will post what he/she says.
