Anyone withnexperience with Uarus?

Just like Mr.2006 said, more greens than protien for your Uarus. They like lettuce and zucchini, not so bright an aquarium. Set up for the South American bio. Treat the fungus with kosher salt and keep the water in their permanent tank clean. As if you were keeping Discus. Diamond or Bleeding heart Tetra do well as constant movers and some pieces of driftwood are a must. They seem to graze off of it. Just leave them alone and they are garuanteed to breed. Good luck Monsta!

Mine have laid eggs a few times but never made it to wigglers as there are too many tank mates. I feed a good quality pellet (nls, xtreme, kensfish) and supplement with romaine lettuce. Weekly 50-70% water changes.

Great advice.

Just to add, IMO a high quality pellet will have all the "vegetable matter" your fish need. :nilly:

They aren't eating at all. They have me extremely worried at this point. Think some night crawlers would entice them to eat? Also my male BGJD is extremely pale & hunkered down at the bottom of my 150. Just a couple weeks ago, he bred with a smaller female, but they promptly ate the eggs. Any advice?
