Aparicio rays

Does any one know anything about aparicio stingrays? All I know about them is that they are a motoro variant from Peru and tend to be smaller than normal motoros...so I've heard anyway...I have an opportunity to have a big order of them imported from Peru. What would be a fair price to ask for them? I don't see them for sale ever, so I thought they might be a good one to have imported. Any thoughts? Suggestions??
 
I'd guess it's just another name on an importers list for Motoro that might look a bit different

I've seen them before, they have a unique pattern. Mostly interested to hear from anyone who has kept them before and what a fair price for them is. I've seen them for sale for $300 in the past. Is that a fair price for the average aparacio?

i had one a few years back, came from Jeff Rapps. Not a common ray in the hobby. $300 is a fair price if you ever come across one. i have a hystrix x aparcio hybrid at the moment she has the paterns of what an aparcio would have. she came from a member on here Dxdx is his name

They look like motoro when small but as they grow there spots tend to melt and become malformed and solid. They are nice rays. If you search on MFK you will see some examples from back in the good old days. Not sure on the price these days butt they were not 300 back then.

That's a nice one in the post from miles. I've seen some where the spots are stretched out like irregular stripes. I really like those. I'm ordering 8 pup size and will probably keep 2 females and a male and sell the other 5. Hope they arrive in ok shape. Never know what to expect with wild caught pups. I'll treat and monitor them for a couple months and get them eating good before they go up for sale. With the extra time and care I think $300 is justifiable for a unique ray like aparicio. I guess we'll see how it goes!
