This is just for fun. What fish do you guys think are the apex predators from each continent. The rules are 1. Have to be a freshwater species. 2. Can be brackish or marine species that can live in freshwater to some extent. 3. No completely marine species that can't live in freshwater at all.

Give me 5 list from each continent.

Asia
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

Africa
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

Europe
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

North America
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

South America
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

Oceania(TBH, I don't know much about this one)
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

Antarctica...uhm... let's just skip this one.

I don’t have data to support this list, but as an Australian, this would be my Oceania list 🤗🇦🇺

1. Murray cod
2. Papuan black bass
3. Barramundi
4. Saratoga
5. Australia bass (impoundment get huge for bass)

I am pretty sure due to the rules allowance of marine species that can live in freshwater, the No.1 spot in Oceania, Africa and SA will be the bullshark. They are known to enter deep in the rivers and apparently spend months in them sometimes, if not longer.

I don't know any stories about NA or Asia of them, but would not be suprised.

Australia also has a pure freshwater shark, but it is very rare and there is not much info out there. Sawfish can also dwelf in freshwater.

Northamerica, Asia and Europe I think will be dominated by large Sturgeon and some oddities like the Wels or Alligator gar. But all of these large fish can't eat each other as adults, so its hard to say who is more on top.

Oh, I didn't mean for them to be ranked, I just wanted at least 5 lists from each, haha.
