No, i bought it from a street vendor and only paid 1000 HKD. He's about 30 cm. and I have him in by itself in a 120 liter tank. He tries to attack me if i approach him

that is a very nice fish man. i have been trying to locate one for yrs now . its kinda hard to do in the states but its still possible. my local breeder came across one and didnt know i wanted it until i stopped over there and he already sold it.

so what if it is illegal it doesnt make it right. just because some moron dumped them in a pond and ruined it for all fishkeepers. there are alot of typed of snakeheads that cant survive in the colder waters so what did they do they banned them all instead of letting the fishkeepers keep the species that couldnt survive even if u dumped them in a pond lake etc.. if i can get ahold of one i will deffintly take em.

damn thats pretty good. I saw one awhile ago in a shop in prince edward for $5000 it was about 14 inches. beautiful. i can't wait to go back to HK. Will be back this summer
