The neptune system may starve your family.I suspect that this piece of kit will leave me feeding my family porridge for a while, haha.

It doesn't really matter for me. I always keep my nitrates 20 or below. I just want a system like the seneye to know exactly what my nitrates are. It measures to the thousandths.I find the API works fine for me, accurate enof to keep my tanks at a safe healthy level and far more accurate than test strips.
I've been saving up. Imo it is much easier than having to do an API nitrate test, which are the longest of them all. I can check my phone for updates on the aquarium instead of doing the test. I'll have to find a way to support the costliness of the replacement slides. I may just buy offbrand filter pads in bulk.If I had a money tree growing in my back yard, I would certainly own one. for now I can not justify the cost.

I believed that it did nitrate too, but after looking I came to the same conclusion. I don't see any point in having this anymore if it doesn't do nitrate.I was investigating this after your mentioned it. I couldn't find any NO3 monitors for seneye, but I might have missed it.
