if you do have multiple pairs it is best to keep all of the same species because if you dont their is a good chance of them hybridizing (dont know if i spelled that right lol). Also i would suggest keeping them in harems of 1 male to 2-3 females Works best because even though they are dwarf cichlids they are still cichlids and can still beat the crap out of eachother during spawning.
