appetite increase?

just a quick question.

how quickly after getting pregnant does the females appetite increase?
my female ray is constantly climbing the sides,wood etc. not being harassed and all conditions are perfect(tested with in date accurate kits)

so all i can think of is this.
she was only impregnated 2 weeks ago i think(it is written on the calender at home)

i have increased the feeding but she is still doing this.

any feedback?

My females will usually show an appetite increase within the first week if it wasn't a very rough breeding episode and will eat almost double or more of her usual diet as the pregnacy goes on depending on how many pups she's carrying. With a pregnant female I usually feed 2 times minimum a day if not 3 times and I leave enough food that she can pick at it for 15-20 minutes.

thanks guys that is the answer i was looking for. fingers crossed he did the deed, all the signs look like he did. especially with her increased appetite now.

have upped the feeding, wish my girlfriend did not hate the smell of massivore so much. im not allowed to feed it anymore! this gonna cost me a fortune in prawns!

my female ray is constantly climbing the sides,wood etc.

This poses me with a question as I feed my Pearl quite a decent amout of food 3 times per day (something like 6 Massivore tabs at a time plus some sinking pellets) - he also clears up what the Fire Eel does not see and he is always running up and down the tank of glass. The Motoro female is not anywhere near as active but she does have her moments.

I am comfortable that I know enough about the water to rule that out so it must be normal activity or hunger I guess?

it is a male flower with a female peru motoro(a nice one though with eclipsing spots).

90 percent sure he got her as the tank was quite cloudy. lets just hope he was on target!
