apple tv or get a ps3?

thinking about whether i want to invest in an apple tv unit (the new one) or just get a ps3? obviously the apple tv is a lot cheaper and for someone like me who doesn't watch much tv there's no point getting a more expensive unit like a ps3, but at the same time the ps can play blue rays, games if i want to. i'm not much of a gamer but every now and then it is actually kind of fun to have some entertainment at home for yourself or visitors.

what do you guys/gals think? i would mostly get a netflix account or something like that... what i really would love to have is to one day get only the channels i want over the internet and stream everything into a unit that has the potential to store shows.

Get a PS3... You can stream netflix, stream torrents, and play video games + bluray movies.

I love the ps3 for all the reasons listed above but also for DLNA media sharing from my pc to the ps3. Any movie I have on my computer I can instantly stream to my ps3. Also, with Netflix no longer requiring the ps3 activation disc next month, it's gotten even easier to use! can't lose!

if your not much of a gamer and you dont want netflix then dont get a ps3. you can buy blue ray players nowadays for like 130.00 so you could get your tv and blue ray player.
