apple tv or get a ps3?

i have a 360 and you dont need any disc to stream movies. you need seperate discs with a ps3? most of the streamable movies on netflix are shown up on my xbox so i dont need to go to the website. how does the discs work that your talking about?
 
The disc is needed for Netflix on the PS3 at the moment, but will not be needed in the future as a stand alone app on the PS3 with be made available.

oh, and get the ps3!
 
Just a ? anybody ever had the apple tv? I have a ps3 and xbox360 and my friend has an old apple tv and thing is nice it is so fast with streaming hd video its crazy and whatever is on your computer music and vid can be streamed to it its prity nice dont get me wrong much rather have my ps3 then any of them but if that thing gets any better with the new one and you dont game not a bad idea IMO
 
Ill say the appletv is a great price, but having to rent tv episodes and movies doesn't work for me, personally. I'd much rather watch a bluray or stream netflix/hulu plus on my ps3.

Depends on what you want to use it for, really.
