appropriate plants for my species

Duckweed and any HOB filter is a bad idea. You will constantly have chunks of it floating in your tank.

Wuold water flow and surface agitation irritate these plants? They need still waters like lillies?

Water movement doesn't bother them at all they just float but granted they could get sucked into filter .

I find them very easy overall indestructable floating plants that send great roots which fish love.
In sun like this everglades pygmy sunfish 5 gallon container they grow high but in tanks with flourscent light they grow way lower but again yes filter might suck them but they can be held in place like tank corner with string, etc.

Ac110 type overflow, is that OK? I always wanted to get a top plant like duckweed or lillies, but I heard they get irritaed and dont do well with lots of movement.

I had cheap peace lilies with an Emperor 400 filter on a 55 gallon when I had the fish inside and they did great with the water movement .

I have no idea if Oscar will ignore them but current wasn't an issue
