Apure jelly or vulture catfish?

which would you prefer to keep? Jelly cat or vulture cat? My lfs has both so i was contemplating which one to get. I've read that apure cats dont move that much unless its feeding time? Is this true? Thanks!

One is not active much and will eat most tankmates when larger. Eventually will be a solo fish.

The other can be part of a larger fish community and Is much more active.

That’s how I’d make the choice.

I'd pick apure personally. Vultures remind me of a larger predatory pictus. Apure can be kept with tankmates but just make sure they're to big to be eaten, either wider or taller than the apures mouth is wide.

I'd add the Cephalosilurus have a lot of personality and appear more interactive, especially with the feeding hand than vultures, to offset their lazy glutes nature. Plus they are MUCH more fun to touch. It's like petting a weird, grainy-bumpy jello pudding.

Im leaning on the apurensis cat also but could i possibly put the apurensis with other fish that it cant eat? Is it aggressive or does it tolerate tankmates? Thanks!

The only aggression I saw from our jellies was either predatory or toward conspecifics. If a tank mate cannot be eaten, nor is a Cephalosulurus, I'd think it is safe. I've had mine with hundreds of tank mates.
