Hello MFK,
I will be posting the emails going back and forth between myself and Alex Lukovych from Aqua Arts in Ohio. Luckily the other week I researched them here on the board only to find a very negative story about them which put me on the fence about a particular tank I wanted, that they had in stock.
It was an 8x4x2-and there was only one of them there and it was for $2400-not bad. The tank was in decent condition but there were scratches all over it and asked if they can lower the price a bit, they did by $100 making it $2300-but I had to buy the tank that day cause "there was somone else that was very interested in the tank and was going to buy it immediately." Being that I didn't want to rush into a purchase so fast I passed on this deal.
Fast foward a bit...a few days later, a member from another fish forum put me in touch with this guy, John, who "can find me a big tank." Seems like a nice guy, I told him the budget I had, and we were conversing back and forth and told him about Aqua Arts that they had the tank that I was looking for but sold it. He said that he knew some people from Aqua Arts...
Yesterday, John calls me and tells me that he found me the exact tank, and guess where its from, Aqua Arts...and I was thinking what a coincidence! He was saying what are the odds (and thats what I was thinking) but here is the great part, I asked what the price was---$3400!!! Inside, I'm thinking: It's the same tank! So John tells me that Alex was going to call me up with the details.
So Alex calls and tells me all about the tank, and the work that is being done to it to fix a leak it had. I asked him for pictures of this tank, and he emailed them to me (NOTE: he emailed me a picture of the first tank for $2300).
I will post the pictures in a minute of the first tank "tank A" for $2300
And then the second tank "tank B" for $3400
When I saw the pictures and compared them to the tank A, it was just as I thought-they look exactly the same! Same marks in the same places-if you look closely you will see them as well.
I emailed him back giving him the benefit of the doubt asking if he sent me the correct pictures of tank B, because they look like tank A!
He writes back and says sorry that I'm confused but the customer that brought in that tank, brought in two identical tanks! LOL Yeah, with identical scratches in the same spots right! And keep in mind he told me that he had ONLY ONE TANK, now its TWO tanks! Can you believe this guy!
BUYER BEWARE!!!

Will post emails and pictures here in a few I'm at work so bare with me, this went down last night, and it upsets me that there are people like this out there trying to take advantage of others.
John
