Aqua Bridge Tank Setup Upgrade

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It is true that they breath from both water and air, but they must have access to surface air or it is possible for them to drown. With that said though, I do not think that they will stay in the tubing so long that that would happen, but if they did get stuck somehow it could end badly for them.
I really like what you have done with your setup and have been looking into doing aqua bridges for some time now but have not gotten around to it. Seeing how you did yours has given me some inspiration.

Thank You Xerik for confirming what I thought was true. I do understand everyones concern about the Ploy's getting stuck. That is why I went with 3 inch PVC tubing and elbows. Now when my Poly's get bigger I will be looking into getting 4 inch or maybe 5 inch PVC to replace the 3 inch PVC. Until then I think that I am safe from any issues with stuck fish. ;)

There's another option one can take bridge ways to see if someone had gotten stuck. Cut and glue/chemically bond an acrylic view port in the bridge, or completely make an acrylic one from scratch.

Ya, that is an option. If I was going to put that much effort into it I would just get the clear PVC. I do plan on getting the Clear PVC eventually and as I've told others at this point it is just a money issue.

Here are a few videos of some of the tenants in my Aqua Bridge Tank setup.
In the first video you see my Juvenile Red Jeweled Cichlids, Black Belt Cichlids and Clown Loaches.

In this second video you will see my Polypterus Endlicheri's, the first one has roamed from the 60 gal Hex tank into the 55 gal tank.

I hope that you have enjoyed. :)

Ok I didn't want to add another thread so I am adding some pictures here since these guys will eventually be moved from the Refugium up to the main Aqua Bridge setup.
First off is my new Senegal Bichir, he is about 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 inches long.

Now this next picture is one of two BNP's that I have. I couldn't get a picture of the second BNP.
The two guys that I have are about 1 1/2 inches long.

Now this third fish the person couldn't be sure if it was a Goby or a Wolf Fish.
This guy is about 1 3/4 inches in length.

Now if anyone can ID the third fish I could really use the assistance. :)

I was trying to help then, I realized that it's really hard to tell whether if it's a goby or a snakehead. haha.

Amazing Looking setup!

Thank You TheQuarterMile. :)

Thank You E.C. for trying. :) If it is the fish that I listed then its max size will be 12cm I will have to see how it grows and changes. :)
