Aquabid - more stolen pics?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah i dont think aquabid cares about any of this stuff. cuz if you have bought from aquabid before. when the aution is over. they simply give you the email of the seller and then you guys contact each other and work out payment like its then private unlike ebay where its safer. aquabid is kind of ghetto if you ask me. so when you buy from aquabid you MUST trust the seller or its easy to get scam. but the last time i bought from there was like a year ago so maybe things change now.

Why do people bother using it the chances of getting ripped off must be high

why not risking few thousands when there is a slim chance to save few bucks? .....being cheap combined with stupidity makes a great combo.....what's really annoying is when people start complaining about being scammed, already knowing that they've bought from a shady vendor (see the "massive aggression saga)

Either someone did a ninja edit, or that isn't the same ad or picture that the thread was created about.

Correct, Nomad is talking about an unrelated auction. The auction I mentioned at the top of the thread has been taken down and was from a user with zero feedback.

Aquabid is basically like a national craigslist for fish.....If you don't browse it all the time and know what to look for in a scammer, then you get scammed....These scammers are getting smarter and smarter....

1st time i ever used aquabid a few years ago. i got scammed on a atf. never got a thing. seller just vanished. lost 200 bucks. live an learn, good thing about the forums is u can ask here an usualy someone will know if there a real seller

Same for the seller. Aquabid used to be a great way to sell and buy fish. I always had good customers and even bought from the others on there. It has unfortunately gotten out of control.

Ebay just does not get the fish traffic something like aquabid does. It would be great if they had a designated section like aquabid that Hobbyists could go direct to and not have to search through all the other crap.

People have taken my pics before.

The rays are in my tank and will not be sold.

My auctions go under Aquacichlids if you care to look and have a trusted seller.

never buy anything w/o a credit card.
