If you have a 75 Gallon tank and had to choose between running a AC110 or a Marineland C530 one filter only which would you choose?

I would choose the ac110. I run 2 on my 75 gallon, and they do a pretty good job. No complaints ago far, been running nonstop for over 2 years without any issues. And with all the space inside the filter you have lots of options as far as what media you will choose. All around great filter, and at 500gph, they're beasts!

I have the same setup on my 75. Works great. Been running for 6 years now no problems. And i agree, i love the huge ammount of space you can cram biomedia into. Its like having an open top canister filter the way the water flows, my favorite filter for the more average sized tanks

A single AC110 will adequately handle any shock you should have in a 75g tank. Running two though will double the efficiency of the mechanical filtration plus give your redundancy just in case something unexpected were to happen.

Have been using AC110's FOR YEARS.. I've tried lots of HOB's (currently not running) but have AC110's in storage.

The BEST HOB's in THE WORLD. Yes the world, forget everthing else. Don't use the carbon, use BIOMAX or any BIOMAX type rings and the square foam filter block, end of story. Great filter.
