If your tank is cycled, and over filtrated, Ammo-Rid will do nothing. Ammo-Rid is mainly used for "newer" tanks that are still going through cycling problems (I use ammo-rid for my quarantine tanks to help with cycling).
Alright, ty. I had been wondering about that, glad i found some good advice before i got the item. Any info on water polishing? just got a HOB canaster my marineland that does 250gph and it says water polishing, going to give it a few days and see.

I've used the H.O.T. with the micron cartridges I think you're talking about, though not on a tank of your size. It's done a fair job. Cartridges are a pain to clean. Another thing I do, is with my AC 110, I buy sheets of water polishing pads and cut a piece to fit on top of the sponge. Might be something else worth trying.
