Yeah the magent was so worn down the impeller just sat on a tilt. It depends where you get the parts from i know peatland in the Bronx were I got my new motor from was pretty cheap. I paid around $14 for a new motor and impeller.

Take it apart. There is sand in it. Clean it very well. I lubed mine with a little bit of vegetable oil

Ordered a new impeller thats should be here tomorrow hopefully it fixes it. If not.might as well get a new filter
