Aquaclear or Marineland?

I use both. Both are excellent filters. I use the AC 50, 70 and 110.
I also have 2 Penguin 350 and they are very inexpensive. I purchased them
for $26.99 each. I got the AC 110's for $32.99. So, the Penguin were actually cheaper.
They both put out lots of flow and keep the tanks nice and clear.
With the P350 I change or rinse the pads weekly and the AC's are rinsed weekly
and replaced monthly. So, for me it is a toss up.:headbang2 :headbang2

so which one would be better for a 20 gallon? btw what comes with the marineland and what comes with the ac's (like media)?

Marineland/emperor are a vertical cartridge....What I do is cut a hole in the top of the cartridge and dump out all the carbon. Then just rinse the cartridge periodically....AC's sit horizontally and u get carbon a sponge and something called biomax....Sit the Carbon aside and buy extra bio max....

You will get a block of foam for mechanical and biological filtration, a bag of carbon for chemical filtration, and a bag of ceramic cylinders for more biological filtration. The AC 50 pumps 200 gph through the media and the flow rate is adjustable.:)
 
go with ac, i have had better days with that than with marine land
 
what are ur choices, do u know off hand, if not ill look it up
 
i went to the petmart today and got an AC 50. its pretty sweet too i really like it. im sure it will keep the tank clean because there wont be anymore than 15-20 small fish in it.
