If you're into fish and aren't involved in a club, please go check it out... If you're in MD/DC/VA/Southern PA and into cichlids, check out the CCA (Capital Cichlid Association) at www.capitalcichlids.org.
Between hanging out with friends, my 4 year old, and a tending to a bunch of fish in the show, I was only able to catch Ken's presentation on Uruguay - it brought back some awesome memories.
My favorite: finding and buying an Uruguayan eel cat from Scott Arney.
I got lots of cool stuff in the auction: some goodeids (several flavors), some insignis festivums, some Guinacara, and a great antique dresser / stand (for $10). It even fit in my trunk for the drive home.
I think next CCA meeting is the 2nd Sat of Nov in Silver Spring: Larry Johnson with pictures from diving in Lake Malawi. Even if you're not a member, please come check it out and meet the gang. I'll bet we'll have a great auction next meeting as well.

I hate to correct you as it's a great fish and I judged it, 1st in class and best of division, a platy actually won best of show. Keniamzrad;3550756; said:I must say it was quite adorable watching your daughter help you siphon some of the tanks.
Thanks for the pic of my otter point jake (which I might add won 1st in class and best in show!).
One of CCA's great photographers (Michael Hill) took this awesome photo,

Oh crap, I was told best in show. Yikes. I haven't seen my certificates as I missed the awards, just word of mouth. Thanks for correcting this Ken!fishfarm;3553049; said:I hate to correct you as it's a great fish and I judged it, 1st in class and best of division, a platy actually won best of show. Ken
