I don't put anything in the water! Neither I mesure ph, dh, nitrite/nitrate, etc. I used to do that in my 5 first years with tanks, after this I only began to make weekly change of about 10%, and so it is passed more 10 years!! The only thing that worries me is the temperature, because here is too hot!!
