Aquaponics/tropical fish farm in Wi

That's what I was thinking. If things take off then I will be modifying the water so that I can have south and centrals in there. I prefer them over Africans

Most Central American cichlids come from high pH waters, but they are often more difficult to breed than other species due to conspecific aggression.
 
The aggression would be an issue I think because we are needing a tun of fish to run this system.

Well next weekend I'm going out to the farm to start the cleaning and prep for the area we are going to build this. ill take some pictures but don't expect a tun of updates till the spring.

Have you thought of the rarer larger live bearers like poecilia gili? The offspring would fetch a decent amount and they are pretty hardy CA fish. Or even pike livebearers

Yea aquaponics is a cool way to plant. My dad has a small farm and wanted to try a new way of farming so he looked into this. So now I'm in charge of the fish part he's in charge of the green house.


I have not thought about native fish I should look into some of the more rare ones. I just know there are a lot of native fish farms around me as it is. the price that there selling the fish for is next to nothing but that's also just normal native fish.
