Hmmmm, no luck catching the fry, they are mini adults now and have dispersed all around the pond to set up their cute little baby territories... I love keeping fish! As soon as I chase one pair with the net all the rest disappear for at least an hr! So face a great choice, lose the fry and save the ceiling or lose the ceiling and save the fry! Lose the 'cute' baby fish or stain the landlords ceiling... Only ever one way that choice is going to go... Another great reason to rent... Just have to remember to top up the pond!

I stuffed my sewage pipe grow tube with scrubbies so it could act as a filter as well as a grow bed. Smart idea hey! ... Well no, as I discovered this morning when I found water pouring out the growholes! Oh yeah, thats right, filters clog dont they! DOH!

Hmmm, so spent the morning trying to get all the scrubbies out the holes and build an emergency trickle tower... Fun Fun. Its back working now at least, and on the bright side my biggest bean plant has hit 6 inches!!!!

Going to expand the system over the weekend like these guys!

Their system real neat!!!

you should grow strawberries...and start with a hydroponics system and attach it to the pond. the plants will help clean the tank water, just dont use the hydroponic additives.

Yeah, thats what I'm planning! My missus whants strawberry's. I have beans coming up a treat at the minute, and the lettuce and tomatoes are on the way!

if your goning to do peas do snow peas. they are super sweet off the vine, like candies i swear

You cant measure the nitrates before and after as its a very short recirculating system. Its been a fun few months. Only flooded the house once since last time...woooohaaa...The tomatoe plants they are 5ft tall (were) roots grew into the outlet pipe and choked it...Without water the plants collapsed, so time to go back to the drawing board. Still moderatley sucessful for a first attempt. Got a lot of beans to feed my pacu!
