First off, I have to say your tank is gorgeous. The aquascaping is beautiful. I also love your stock. Some of my favorite fish in there; redhead geos, sturgeons, rays, etc.

However, I can't lie...I have no clue how your stock is working. You have by far the most "different" stocking I've seen.

Discus and rays...high temperature
Sturgeons...low temperature

Big Jay,

It might be a different stocking, but worth trying. When i added the sturgeons i also said i didnt know how it would end.
When i would detect any health problems with the sturgeons i would take them out immidiately.
I've spoken to a dutch professor of biology who worked with sturgeons. He told me that they can addept easy to higher tempertures and that it would work.
The only thing is that the sturgeons eventually would grow out of the tank....

And that their lifespan is shortened drastically when put in warm water year round.

Could be! but how old can sturgeons be? Never heard of a sturgeons died bc of age. But I agree it might be better to keep them in lower tempreteres.

My question, when r u disposing off ur unit. U will just need to advertise here! I guarantee u, boom! Sold!
:P

I live in the Netherlands. So come live over here, then i can help you out ;)!

Dude this is crazy. You need some central american in there

Guess in a few months there will be some bigger central Americans. I tried the discus, but 5 were killed by the stingrays in the first week. So all of them are out again. I knew it was a risk to put them in, but i just love them.
Now im planning on putting in some bigger fish i a while. And probably a RTG arowana or super red.

Well, the sturgeons are still doing fine. There eating well, and nog agression at all. So I will keep them in for a while.

At the moment i got 3 rays in the tank :)
