aquarium and Feng Shui?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I had a friend in California that was into feng shui. he talked about the elements: water, metal, wood, air, and what not. also colors and placement. I don't know anything about feng shui, but he did, and he bought a hex aquarium with a few discus and some roundish leafed plants.

i think having a good sized aquarium with nice landscaping and nice fish is a great stress reducer. since i have started keeping fish i notice myself just sitting down and relaxing while i am looking at the tank.

aquariums are related to feng shui
i heard that this year either west or south direction is fire so it is better not to put any water-related furniture that is facing that direction

Don't know about all of the feng shui stuff, but it does seem the bigger the fish tanks I keep as well as number of fishes, the more money I have. :D:D

My brother and I are the twins from the Feng Shui episode on Penn & Teller.

Maybe someone can confirm this, not sure if it is feng shui or just an asian supersition (SP???), but I have heard it's bad luck or something to have an Arowana visible from your front door. So I think this means not having an aquarium with an Aro near your front door. I Dunno.

It is all about the placement and arrangement of things in your home... usually about good luck and money.

Makes sense in a way... who doesn't feel happier with a nice looking house, big fish tank, and harmonious setup???
