+1 If you have the necessary skill, any DSLR currently on the market will take "professional-looking" pictures. I would recommend first going into a camera store and deciding which ones you like/dislike, then do some research on your top choices (CNET.com is very helpful for this). I will say, though, that Nikon and Canon are generally considered the best, most reliable brands for consumer DSLRs.
