If you want the paper cartidge on magnums to filter finer materials, you need to add diatomaceous earth to the cannister. This will form a "cake" around the filter, and dramatically increase the fines captured.

At some point, working with what you have starts to cost more, in time, efficiency, and money, than just starting from "scratch".

Not costing me much, but as far as efficiency goes, I am not seeing it, and it is getting harder to get going.

Gonna copy your design and hang up the magnum ad a vac, and use it for a temp filter.
