Aquarium Cleaned with Mineral Turpentine

Hi,

Just need to clarify, my parents thought they were being helpful and used turpentine on a three foot sump I have been removing baffles from to use as a stocking tank.

I've hosed it out thoroughly and used surgical alcoholic wipes to remove any residue i could find and hose it out again.

Will it be safe to fill or is there something else I should clean it with prior?

It also seems it may have been cleaned out with soapy water after the turps as well

A thorough cleaning with alcohol should do it!

I've filled the tank with tap water, cleaned it with aquarium safe wipes and refilling it. I can't see any bubbling or film on the water, would it be a safe bet to cycle with a molly or something fairly cheap to be safe?

The glass itself does not feel greasy, I just want to be certain everything is ok before I add my rare babies

i would give it a wipe down with white vinegar then fill it up and let it sit for an hour empty it, fill it up a couple of times and then cycle with a guppy.

I completely forgot about vinegar I'll do that in the morning, I can use water from one of my 350 gals so let it cycle with a guppy for say a week or so?
