Hello,
I am looking to put a Fleur De Lis in an aquarium.
I tried to find a glass one, but the largest I could find is 8" high, and in a 30" tall tank, it would look silly as a centerpiece.
That being said, I have found multiple pieces, made of "stone" that are of size (approx 18")
Obviously, "stone" can not be guaranteed to be aquarium safe, so it would need to be coated with something.
I have read up on MFK searching "epoxy decor" and phrases like that, and from what I read, a 2-part epoxy would do it.
I'd just like to confirm that...
A few questions I have:
1) is epoxy best? if not, what is?
2) should i "paint" the statue, or dip it in the epoxy?
3) any specific brand?
4) any to stay away from?
5) what is the consistency of epoxy? thick, thin?
Thanks everyone!
