Does any one know how to calculate glass thickness for an aquariuam i have been searching for the formula but came up empty handed & aquarium builders would not give me the formula so i was hoping some one here could help me

i agree. its hard to find an acurate chart or calculator for the thickness for building a tank.
i usualy build acrylic. its a bit more expensive but is more forgiving than glass. we tride to build a glass but we got it amost done and one of the long walls cracked all the way down the side. we dont even know why. we have never had any problems with acrylic.

I never used acrylic b4 are the calcutaions the same? and generally is acrylic stronger than glass i would like to have a cement tank created with huge glass/ acrylic windows but thats a dream years away from now 
To my knowledge, acrylic thickness can be must less than glass thickness, all other things being equal.
