Aquarium Glass Calculation?

Has anybody tried acrylic with thin glass facing laminated on and in to prevent scratching?

That's a good question, I would be afraid to try though since acrylic often bows after adding water. If the glass and acrylic are joined that glass could snap. If they are not joined then you would have to clean two faces of glass and one acrylic. Maybe if you use really think acrylic?
