non, unless it keeps you from sleeping at night cause you cant stop staring at it. It might even help since it has been shown to lower blood pressure and help you sleep more soundly.

On top of that it will act like a humidifier and keep your nose and lungs from becoming irritated due to dust.
 
IMO.... None, I've actually fallen asleep a few times while watching my fish tank.
 
I have a tank in front of my bed, left side of my bed, and right side of my bed. I am healthy from them. No side effect.

Maybe acquiring mental addiction is the only health issue.
 
well i have a 10g fish tank in my room , at first it was kinda nosiey, but after a day or two i got used to the filter sound and water fall sound and sleep like a baby. i really dont think there is any health disadaveges
 
its really great having one in your room, thats where mine is, i fall asleep almost every night watching them, lol, i dont need the tv anymore to fall asleep.

That was the problem with mine initially, but I've learned to keep the water level relatively high. It's just below the filter output so there's less splashing noise.
