Well, OK, But how would the Koi get in the aquarium then?

The point of this design is to give the fish that are swimming in the lower pond the chance to swim up and look around the room from above the pond.

I already have a 140gal and 100gal aquariums so I dont really need another one.

Another part of the future design plans for this pond is to connect it to an outdoor pond that will be built on the other side of the window on the right hand side.

The over-all concept here is to have a smaller type pond that makes up for it's lack of size by being more interesting than most any other indoor pond.

The way i have the upside down aquarium is a puzzle to most people when they first see it.
Most people I have shown my pond to do not understand how Im able to have all that water stay up in an aquarium that has no bottom?

The next thing that is a sort of puzzle is the ability I have to add air flow into the upside down aqaurium without it ever changing the water level?
Again most people that view my pond also question how that can be?

So in line with this design aim of my pond , I hope to run a pipe up over the top edge of this pond, out a hole cut in the glass of the room window , and down into a out door pond.

My hope is that most people who visit my home will enjoy one of the first indoor/outdoor ponds they have ever seen!

I think it will be cool to teach the fish to race to a sound of a bell to get some food, then be able to go outside and call the fish to you , then return indoors and call them back!

anyway, thats the reason I have the aquarium sitting upside down in my pond...

youtube used to have videos on freedom tanks that looked amazing.....is that where you got your concept from??? good luck on your project.....maybe you could share some of the secrets on freedom tanks with me :-)

Yes, but what ever happend to all them videos?

They all seem to be missing.
I saw one I think about a month ago but I do searches and cant find any new ones?

I fell in love with the look of the upside down tanks he had going.

I loved the way he had such odd tanks and all that went with them.

However I noticed right away that many of them videos did not make it very clear how he was able to have air flow going?
I also noticed that most all the videos had a sound track of music, and never tilted the camera up to see the tops of the tanks?

After a while I got the feeling that the air was being sucked out of the tanks by some type of air pump, and this led me to believe that the reason I could never get a clear shot of the tops of the tanks as well as why there always was music playing in the videos is that in real life the aip pump turning on and off made for a poor video.

Thats when i decided to come up with my own new way to have air flowing into my tank without all the trouble the FishFreedom guy has to use.

I still would like to know what happend to all them cool videos....i miss them

I dont know any secrets...LOL

I just try to use normal things in different ways.
The interesting thing in my Aquaripond is the idea that you have a upside down aquarium thats filled with water.

90% of the people i tell this to, or show to just dont understand how it can be???

It's not a trick, its just some science.

The trick was designing a way to have the tank at the right level without putting in danger the thin pond liner.

cement blocks were my first idea to set the tank down on top of, however I was warned that the cement was bad for the fish and the blocks could rip a hole in the liner.

I had to design some bars that bridge the pond and a type of hanger that the aquarium sits in.
