Aquarium on floor?

I used to use one of these reading pillows put against the wall next to the tank on the floor. Sit back, pack a pipe and relax and watch the fish for hours.


Very comfy, even on the floor.

Go get a few cinder blocks and a piece of wood. Ghetto stand under $10.

I think a 20 gallon would be fine on the floor, 20 aren't really the important viewing tanks anyhow

I hate doing it on the floor for two reasons:
1. Limited view. I hate having my neck creaked.
2. Difficulty vacuuming.

I've put my 20 long tank on a desk, a filing cabinet, and it currently resides on my kitchen bar counter top. It's a small enough tank to where you don't have to worry too much about where you put it, so maybe consider some options besides the floor for convenience sake.

And I have had a 30 gallon on the floor under a cinderblock bookshelf I made, i thought it was excellent, also had 10 gallon guppy breading tanks on the floor, and most likely setting it up again very soon

Do any of you guys lay down anything under the tank? Like some type of plastic to keep moisture out?
