I've noticed the past few weeks that i have some sort of parasite along the top waterline inside my freshwater tank. i tried to take one out but its suctioned to the glass and has a hard shell. It looks like a dot with a clearish umbrella around the dot. It is very small and hard to see. I see most of them at the waterline but they are below it as well.

I cant get a picture since i do not have a camera that can view such a small thing.
Any thoughts?

Do you have any live plants in your tank? could it be some sort of snails / limpet type snails that hitch-hiked their way into your tank?

No plants at all. I dont think its a snail. I have no snails at all. No driftwood nothing that could have given them a ride into the tank. None of my other tanks have snails too.
