Aquarium plants

What type of plants does everyone use? I am looking to redo the plants in my tank and I am not sure that I want to use the Fancy Plant brand again. Just curious.

I have Java Ferns and Amazon Swords. The Java Ferns are really taking over the wood in my tank, look nice, and my fish don't seem to want to eat it. Good stuff. (the amazon swords are doing well, too).

I keep anubias with my africans and in my CA/SA tank. They don't get eaten and don't need a lot of care. I also like some java fern and java moss. These are also relatively easy to care for and don't get eaten by my cichlids or plecos.

I am thinking about live and I have an array of cichilids. so you are saying that anubias is the way to go? what about african swords?
