Aquarium question

An ultima II 1000 is about $500. You need a pump also. They do not have built-in pumps like canisters, but they are backflushable.
Ok, so now looking at the size of my room I am getting very interested in the plywood tank idea, I was also looking at the pentair tanks but I think shipping would be a crazy price.. Just had some questions on what would be the best product to seal the tank, pond armour is pretty expensive and I have been looking at the pentair version and something called Max Acr.. Anyone have experience with these products?

No, i have never used it. You may want to just use marine grade fiberglass, but that is toxic when it is not dried. I know pond armour is expensive, but it lasts long. It is cheaper than rebuilding/resealing your tank in the future.

Oh ok, I know about the fiberglass part ( have to be careful about bubbles) and I know that the pentair epoxy is very toxic also

I think that pond armour is your best option.
I
That would be my first pick, but I've heard of people using the pentair epoxy, the tank will be built outside as the epoxy is toxic when wet so it should be fine.. I'm going to draw up some designs and start figuring out how it will be done.. As of right now I'm clearing out the tank from the room so I have space on this one, as I feel instead of having multiple tanks, I have rather started enjoying one large tank and a quarantine tank..
