Okay, so here is the deal, on May 20th I will be buying a 135 gallon with stand hoods and light for $650 Oceanic brand I believe.(not that I really care) Now is when the dilema comes into play, I got the itch so I surfed craigslist. I found a AGA 125, with stand, lights, 2 magnum 350 filters, UGF with 2 powerheads, heater (He wants to throw in the fish as well, but I have no interest in a bunch of big CA cichlids) for $400. I have also found a 55 w/ stand for $50. There is another guy who wants 150 for a 55 full setup but I feel that is a bit steep. Should I snag the 125 and 55? What would you guys do???

The 135 is a sure thing (I hope). Does that 125 sound like a good deal?

I bought a brand new 125 set up (AGA tank, glass canopies, twin tube light and a pine stand all in black trim a year ago for $500 at a truckload sale at the LFS. UGF's I personally have no use for but the remaining items have value. Is the tank in good shape?

I would get the 135 and 125 if you can afford both. Are they both long tanks ? 6 foot ? If you have the space for a long tank always go for the longer footprint, you can keep a bigger variety in a long tank and usually more fish as well.

Both are 6 foot tanks. Now it is time to win the wife over, she is rather reluctant.

good luck on that, i won the lady of the household over by saying how pretty the fish are, bringing her to the lfs and letting her see what it will look like and yada yada.
