you can buy 3m colorquartz at national pool tile in Anaheim, or you can buy pool filter sand or play wand at Leslie's pool supplies or home depot.
Use Leslie's pool filter sand. I think its $13 per 50lb bag. Not sure why a NorCal person would offer to give sand to someone in orange county

haha yeah could you go on leslies website and send me a link of what it the bags of sand look like? i dont want to go off and buy sand with like chemicals fused with it
Just ask Leslie's for pool filter sand, there is only one kind. Just wash 5lbs at a time over and over again til all the dust is gone and throw it in the tank.
