hey guys, i need some suggestions on sands i can get at like Home Depot and also its for a freshwater tank so ya anyone use any sand from home depot and was it successful? if so plz tell me!

i use quikrete all purpose, it works good a few have it here too best thing about it it also has little pebbles in it for a nice natural look
can i get the black diamond at home depot if so which section? and i heard about quikrete i might use it
I tried play sand and its too light, gets sucked in the filter.. I been looking for pool filter sand for a while until yesterday, i found it at "farm and Fleet" by the section where they sell inflatable pool etc. Its less than 7 bucks a 50gal bag. They are not as fine as sand but fine enough and dont get sucked in the filter. I actually like it, better than gravel and playsand. I would certainly recommend it, specially now that its summer time, most stores should have it.
I got the diamond blasting sand at menards. It comes in black or white. If I remember its by the concrete

I got it from menards a few years ago. Maybe they quit carrying it. Good luck with ur search
