  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Only one way to find out if it holds.

And I would not test it indoors.

That's my. 02. :)

The seller assured me that the seals were good. IMO they look like crap & he's giving me the run around about replacement /paying for professional reseal. ($65)

Anybody else? I'd like to send the seller a link to this thread.

so you bought it, and expect the seller to pay for a reseal?
if I was the seller I'd be laughing too hard to tell you no. unless you have it in writing that it doesn't leak.
a good looking seal can leak, a crappy looking seal can hold for decades.
if you have doubts, you shouldn't have bought it.
fill it up and see if it leaks, something that should always be done before buying a used tank. even then I fill the tank somewhere safe and let it sit for a few days.

do a test fill like stated above, if it leaks just re-seal it. IMO especially if it's going upstairs better be safe than srry

Yes Gill, the seller told me the seals looked good, clearly they aren't.
When confronted with How crappy the seals are He offered to bring me another 110, then He sold it to somebody else & basically told me to F off.
I agreed to pay $150 for the 110& iron stand, with the assurance that the silicone was good by somebody who walks around telling people him & I are friends. Now this seller is backing out on things & threatening me with unknown verbal slander that apparently will hurt my reputation.
But, the main purpose of this thread was to show this idiot just How good the aquatic community thinks these seals are.

Those aren't the seams I would expect to see in a "show tank", that's for sure. The last tank I sold that had seams like that came with a tube of silicone and a discount.
