Aquarium UV Sterilizers? Good or Bad?

dont know if it has been mentioned or not but one thing for people to remember is while using meds ,fertilizers etc. its best to turn of the uv it can have an effect on them

Yes that picture looks very clear... but being able to pull one clear pic out of your collection doesn't consitute having "crystal clear" water...


So you have zero experience with UV lights... you've provided quotes that have been the basis of your opinion and multiple flaws in the thinking have been pointed out...

Your lulling everyone to sleep with babble bothers me as well....Are you suggesting only people, who actively run U.V. should suggest whether or not people should use U.V.???? That is biased....If you do not think it is needed, why would you have it?

Well.. yes... I think you should only give your opinion on something if you have experience with it...

Or at least have a fair education on it...

Being able to quote one or two misunderstandings does not constitute "a fair education"...

There are many fish related items I have used, gained an experience with, and chose not to continue using... and I have an experienced opinion of why I chose not to continue using them...

Are you suggesting that every single person who has used a UV light was happy with their experience and only have good things to say? If so...

I might add that this thread would have gone well if not for the silly personal attacks being hurled around. By now, some of you should know this is a public discussion, not a forum for personal arguments. If you cannot accept what is being noted, why not just accept it and move on? If not, why not make the criticisms a little more constructive instead of making this a personal drivel?
