?
yesterday when i finished work an came my tank was a brownish color i did water changes but still it is the same. the fish are fine and healthy active. i havent fed them today or yesterday due to this what could be the problem.

no not recently although there is driftwood in my tank but it was added a long time back

the filters have been working perfectly this tank was set up 2 years ago so it is cycled

I hate to admit this, but I went a couple months without changing the carbon in my filter and it looked like my fish were swimming in coffee. I cleaned out the canister and added fresh carbon, an hour later it was clear again. Maybe you're having that same issue. Just a thought

As water ages in an aquarium, without proper water changes the water will turn yellow and eventually brown. Aquarium water can also turn brown due to tannins released from driftwood. Certain aquarium foods can also turn water brown, especially cheap food or color food.
