An island somewhere......
Well, I'm in the process of selling an aquarium and the potential buyer asked me if it'll be an issue on a second story apartment. I personally think it'll be fine but wanted to get some positive reinforcement...

The aquarium is a 120g., .5" glass tank with stand. The stand isn't really heavy so it's weight is minimal complied with approx. 110-115 g. of water at 8.35 lbs per gallon... plus decor. The tank is about 150-180 lbs. by itself (I think) so it's total weight is nearing 1200 lbs.

Now... what do you guys think? Fine huh? :D

i live on the 2nd floor appt and i have a 240 gallon and a 110 both at oppisite sides of the floor in my living room but the 110 is resting on a outside facing wall and the 240 is at a wall that the back is a staircase going to outside and the wall runs all the way down to the basement 2 more floors down thats how i lucked out so if the buyer puts it on a supporting wall they are fine :)

Probably be okay, aslong as it has supporting wall it should be okay, if he is really worried tell him to call an engineer.

That's some hardcore weight. Just remind your downstairs neighbor to get flood insurance just in case the floor decides to take a break.
