AQUARIUMS FOR YOU

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
you still havent gotten that tank??

I am going to get it this weekend.... I was trying to find out more about the company that built it....... They seem top-notch..... Their prices are a little on the high end...., but I think this comes with any quality/trusted aquarium builder.....

I CAN'T WAIT............!!!!!!!

But dont forget about shipping too..... Alot of the cost will be because of this. This is the reason that I am trying to find an Aquarium builder that is somewhat local.....

Anyone else with some info....????? Thanks to everyone who has posted.....

Shipping is not that bad between shops getting discounts with shipping companys and it going via truck freight anyways. You're talking a couple hundred at the most..

I hope that tank you're buying is from them but used.

I just got my quote for 84x24x29 $3375 and $495 for overflows
and $1000. to ship from NJ to CT now I know why they quote it because no one in their right mind would pay that for just a tank!!

That is a friggin rip off IMO.. I can go down the street and get that size for $1100.00. But there's a sucker born every minute..

Compare that to 8x4x2 from Not Just Fish $2600.00 including shipping to your door. :)

We talked a little already remember? :)

Probably not til later in the year summer/fall the way things are going. But my fish need it so it's gotta come at some point or I have to chop some fish in half to make them fit a 30" wide. I don't know the thickness probably 1"? though I leave that up to the professionals as this won't be the first tank of that size they built I'm sure.

I will probably go through them as I think they're good people/they are a forum sponser. But I just got another lead on a tank builder to check out today. But unless they wow me I will still probably plan on ordering from NJF eventually. Just paying for upcoming college classes/other things are slowing me down and putting it off a few months.

That's just me though. But I def. wouldn't order from that place in NJ if you're going new. If you're spending that kind of cash you might as well go tenecor and even that would be saving money over that place in NJ. Tenecor is good(ok awesome), but pricey. And I don't have that kinda dough for a tank.

the deal john is getting is amazing.... post it up john... its a steal...

when i do an acrylic tank it will probally be not just fish that i get it from... i like tenecor but my wallet doesnt

True, but not just fish is in Los Angeles which is rather far..., I talked to him on the phone and he seemed like reall good guy..., Hey talked through the different options..., anywhere form 1/2" to 3/4" to a combination of things....... I'm pretty sure that based upon my conversation with him, that the thickness would be on the thinner side for your $2600 quote.

I am picking up a 8'x4'x30"x1" thick this weekend...... I got a great deal. It is less than above.....,I am basically getting it for the price of a 8x4x24"x3/4" thick....... The only problem now is trying not to hurt my back moving this thing..... jk

good luck to you all....

I'm personally ok with that though. I am a poor broke fishkeeper who trys to find a way to keep some damn cool fish on the low.. Seriously though I have trust in whatever they sell in theory thinking they wouldn't knowingly sell it if it would lead to bad press. Plus I couldn't build it myself for cheap enough to warrant not getting them to do it.

I'm glad you got it used and a great deal. I know you've been waiting for this upgrade. :)
