looking for ideas on how to go about aquascaping the new tank..

225 gal tank. 72 x 24w x 30.
pool filter sand is the substrate.

my stock list will be:

1x motoro ray
2x bichir
2x or 3x pbass
1x florida gar
1x silver aro

as i said .. ray included im looking for pictures or descriptions on good ways to aquascape it.

dont want it just pure sand. might do that eventually when ray gets big but for now i want some .. plants / driftwood / rock incorperated. can anyone help?

probably some nice hard scape like drift wood and some rock formations in the rear corners. You can add plants but because of the rays, you would probably want to stick to plants that can attach to drift wood and/or floating plants to make room for the rays. Good Luck!

thanks guys! anyone have pictures or anything to give me some good ideas. finally finished the plumbing set-up last night so the tank has officially been running for 10 hours. finally. and aquascaping is going to be a ***** now with a 30" height filled with water.

I think that will be a good reference.

thanks.

while watching that video i bumped into this one .. i like this style. finding the right piece of driftwood is going to be difficult but this one seems pretty good for rays .. at least until they get to that size or a little bigger. i wouldn't mind my tank being like that but maybe with some live plants .. not many. just enough to green up the place a little. .. anyone have other similar tanks or see why this type would not be a good option?

oh come on guys .. tomorrow is a good day to spend aquascaping so thats my plan. id like to have some good ideas for it so help me out! also what plants (easy to care for, dont plan to do much for them other then let them grow) do you guys suggest?
