They are made of a high density foam with a extremely hard surface.
They may seem pricy but compared to the final cost of decorating a tank with rocks, driftwood and plant, our backgrounds are cheaper and your tank will look better.

ok thanks

I am still contemplating the background. Two questions first: Do plecos tend to eat them or can they withstand the grazing?
Have you ever mounted a slimline on the outside of a tank in the event that plecos do tear them up or do you have a pic of one mounted on the outside? I will always have some sort of pleco so this is a concern.

that pleco inquiry was my exact same question!

was wondering how plecos keepers fared with those 3Ds because I had a in-tank driftwood filter and my plecos rasped the paint off in no time. :irked:

I've been looking at these. They are extremely pricey. They are awesome to look at but other than the slim line one, they are awfully thick which is bad for large fish as their turn around room is diminished. Any MFK discounts? You might sell a few more as they start turning up in members' tank pics...

How will an hob or a canister filter be situated with the background?
