yeah but think about how good it looks. Compared to what you've already put in a 180g, and if you want a true show tank. Not too many people are gonna have these.

That rainforest background is

i agree... now... where can i get 200 bucks?

yea i agree, but you can make them for dirt cheap, might not look "as good" but for a 300$ tank i think it would be hard to justify that much for a background

LOL...I agree the DIY Fans are having a field day with this already. I actually been working on my styrofoam carving skills...I like these though the coloring and the mold effect seem really nice, but not really orignal I have seen the rain forest one and the rock set up at my LFS but it was cheaper as well....so I dont know...

I think ill keep sharpening my skills and duling my kitchen knives...

Anotherthought is, me personaly i like to make mine so that i can hide everything, powerheads, filter, lines, heaters ect,. how much sapce is behind them...if any also, other then my show tank I change my tanks every couple of months( get borded i guess or wantto play)...so can they be temps or are they silaconed in perm...?

Go to the website! It lists the info there. They can be anywere from 1 to 12 inches thick depening on what bg you get.

they are gorgeous and worth every penny. If I didnt have overflows built in I would take one in a heart-beat. Bump for great work

It's comparing apples and oranges when you compare the price of the background to the price of your tank. I'm sure you spend $200+ on a fish and I'm sure the total value of most peoples fish are in the thousands, but they are in a $300 tank. These backgrounds are meant to enhance the aesthetics of your tank. When you go to major aquariums and visit their exhibits, what makes you go... WOW!!! It the decor and the background of the exhibit.

I am just offering a product that can enhance the beauty of your tank.
These backgrounds go for over $400 in Europe.

these are the coolest backronds iv seen in years so realistic great prouduct some guy in ny get thosands to make stuff that looks that good
