Here's something to try. I was wondering if anyone here ever kept aquatic bugs? I think dragon fly nymphs would be cool, but I wouldn't want to wake up and have a shedded skin in my tank and a dragon fly buzzing around. There are aquatic spiders, I don't think they could be kept with too many types of fish though, small ones would be eaten and bigger ones would eat them.

nasty scary little sh*ts

I once tried to keep a couple water boatmen, but learned the hard way that they can actually fly out of your open tank. Never tried that again. :grinno:

Do not try to keep aquatic insects with fish, one or the other gets eaten, also bear in mind that the bite of many is very painful and for some people potentially lethal, these include dragon fly larva, water scorpians, giant diving beetles, and giant water bugs, all can eat fish larger than themselves.

i've kept giant water beetles before mean as f##k when i put feeders in it would eat about 3 to 5 of them. the water beeetles only live 1 to 2 years.

Yeah I'd say go for it if you want but keep your tank covered because they can fly and they have nasty bites. I don't know about lethal, but you might wish you were dead.

Hmmm, lol. Yuck insects they are good for fish food lol. Good Luck :D

Spiders might be cool.Watching a dragonfly nymph suck the blood out of fish would be sick :naughty:
